~ Free Fill Dirt Available ~

As a water quality improvement measure, Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District took on the challenge of dredging upper Parker Horn to remove incoming sediment at the ideal location northeast of the Alder Street Fill. The goal was to remove existing sediment and create a sediment catch basin to minimize the opportunity for sediment to flow and settle into Moses Lake. Subject to change, the MLIRD dredging operation has resulted in the spoils/soil material that is currently being offered without charge to the public.

The soil analysis shows this material is typical of soil found within the greater Moses Lake area and an analysis document is available upon request. If you need dirt and interested in hauling your own, contact us for further instructions. We have an agreement that you need to sign, and then you are good-to-go. This offer of 'free and available' is contingent upon your signed agreement with MLIRD. Please call 509-765-8716 or email mlird@mlird.org with any questions. Thank you!
